About

I sell a beautiful variety of hand dyed yarn, hand spun yarn and hand dyed roving. I use an eco-friendly dye on all of my yarn and roving. I use citric acid to set the color, so it is very colorfast. This dying process greatly minimizes my footprint on our planet. I also make a wonderful line of fun and funky project bags that are divided. I always get my yarn tangled when I knit so I designed this bag to keep my yarn and project separate so they don’t get tangled.

Undyed and hand-dyed roving, yarn, and fleeces, non-wool fibers, batt kits, soaps, shirts and homegoods, firestar and silk rainbow cups

I’m moving away from using plastic fibers. Nylon and metallic, and yarns containing them, are limited to stock on hand.

I’m also stocking American grown and locally grown much more. And I’m working with a mill in NY to develop yarns featuring rare breeds including my najavo-churro and blue-faced leicester fleeces. We’re starting with shetland lamb yarn, one in variegated greys and another in browns. The fleeces came from a targeted grazing operation focusing on sustainability and traditional breed type.

We are indie dyers pulling most of our inspiration for our yarns from favorite books. This year, our focus is on Fairy Tales – we are releasing two new yarns every month based on our favorite stories.

We are lovers of whimsical fabric which we turn into project bags. Recently, we have started bringing in bolts of fabric that are now available in 1/2 and yard cuts.

And new this year, we are now carrying wool felt sheets and kits to make fun woodland animals.
