General Virtual Meeting and Board Elections Jan 2, 2021

General Meeting Reminder – this Saturday, 02 Jan 21 @ 1 PM
From: Kevin Melvin
Date: Fri, 01 Jan 2021 00:17:39 PST

Hi All,

Just a friendly reminder of our upcoming general meeting this Saturday, 02 Jan 2021 @ 1 PM. The meeting will be virtual via Webex (see link below). If you have not joined a Webex video call before, I recommend you join the meeting a few minutes early in case your system needs to run the webex software. For the best audio experience, I also recommend using headphones. You can use either your computer for audio over the internet or dial in from your phone. Additionally, when not speaking please keep your lines muted to prevent background noise.

2020 was a year that we will not soon forget and I for one am happy to have it officially in the books. Unfortunately, it put a wrench in a number of our plans including having to cancel our onsite festival and postpone meetings. As a result, we will have a jam packed agenda for this Saturday with a business meeting, elections, an educational session on lambing and some fabulous door prizes that will be for our virtual attendees. Given the delays due to COVID and the need to elect new officers in order to meet the ASI directory cut off in January and to drive some time sensitive agenda items forward, we will be holding elections on the day. They will be processed thru email via the election buddy software we have used in years past. You do not need to to attend the meeting to vote for the elections as it will be conducted via email to current members at the email address that we have on file. The difference this year is that voting will not be extended for a prolonged period of time so that the slate of officers will be identified before adjourning the meeting.

Nominations are still open and individuals can be nominated by either sending them to or in person during the meeting. We will also capture “seconds” for any nominations received via email during the meeting.
